Hi, I am Gauri,

I am a UX Designer and Researcher. I completed my Masters in Human Computer Interaction from Indiana University in Dec 2022. I am continuing to work and expand my knowledge in UX and looking for an exciting opportunity with a great design team where I can apply my knowledge and create innovative experiences for users.

January 2019
3rd Year at MPSTME, Mumbai

I was introduced to a brand new subject called Human Computer Interaction. I was immediately taken in by the concept of user interviews, surveys and design decision making.

Of course, that was only the beginning of my HCI journey.

May 2019 - July 2019
Software Development Intern at C2LBiz Solutions
Bug fixing and development patches is my life at the internship. I find myself looking for more as I struggle to understand the "WHY" behind development decisions being made.

Thats when I discovered that there was a completely differrent team working on defining the "WHY". That is how I was introduced to the practical side of my HCI elective - the User Experience team.

August 2019
Finding the path to discovering my "WHY"
I began reading more about UX/UI and found graduate programs specializing in HCI.
May 2020
Graduated from MPSTME, Mumbai in the middle of a pandemic.
With the world in a shut down, I decided to take up another internship to familiarize myself with the world I was about to step into.
June 2020 - December 2020
User Interface Tester at C2LBiz Solutions
I work as a coordinator between the design team and the development team.

It helps me reorient myself as I understand the links between what I have been doing so far and what I want to do in the future.

January 2021
Incoming MS-HCI at IUPUI
Navigating a hybrid world in a completely new country, I arrive in Indianapolis to begin my journey as a UX designer.

This journey is supported over the next two years by a great cohort, amazing professors and challenging design projects.

May 2021
UX Designer-Developer
I join Prof. Khairi Reda and his Ph.D students as the solo designer on their team.

I get to design and help develop two websites over the next two years.

January 2022 - December 2022
UX Designer at Comet Lab
I join Comet Lab at IUPUI as a UX Designer.

I get to work with fellow designers and researchers, and learn to juggle multiple projects at a time.

In 6 months, I am promoted to managing one of the projects that I am working on.


I learn how to delegate work and assign tasks within a cross-functional team consisting of 2 designers and 2 developers.

June 2022 - August 2022
UX Intern at Mphasis
I get to work with designers and researchers in the Experience Tribe at Mphasis.

I am introduced to the consulting world as I work in a fast paced environment with multiple clients across multiple domains.

December 2022
Completed my Masters degree
I completed my Masters degree and continued working with Prof. Reda as I look for my next job.
July 2023
Started as Lead UX Researcher at DevLaunchers
I start freelancing with DevLaunchers as a Lead UX Researcher on their GPT Team.

I work with a cross-functional remote team working from all over the globe to create an engaging onboarding experience for all DevLaunchers members.



I am currently also looking for full-time positions to continue expanding my knowledge and contribute to meaningful projects.
